Hammers, Lasers and Mirrors oh my!
by Mike Tuesday, August 28 2007 08:25 pm 5 Replies

While drifting in and out of sleep on the train returning home from work, my mind wandered into the realm of game design. Everyone loves the game Rocks, Papers, Scissor, so why not make a card game out of it. This gave birth to a new game: Hammers, Lasers, Mirrors. Similar to the relationships between the rocks, papers and scissors, HLM takes on the game from a different approach. Hammers smash Mirrors, Mirrors deflect Lasers and Lasers incinerate Hammers.

Modifying dollar store playing cards (for test purposes only) we came up with the regular and special cards to make the game as fun as possible. The tests were successful. Robots Vs Zombies
by Narmical Monday, August 27 2007 08:34 pm 2 Replies

Formal Abstract Design Tools
by Narmical Tuesday, July 31 2007 10:41 am

The title of the article is “Formal Abstract Design Tools”. In the article Doug Church introduces three tools (think categories or criteria) to use to describe and analyze computer games.
